On Friday, I received a call from the co-chair of the GA Search Committee at Northern Arizona University. They offered me a provisional position, tentative on my passing a background check and being admitted into a graduate program. Well, the past couple of days have been filled with good news and mega-bad news. And really, the mega-bad news isn't really catastrophic, so things are looking up for Mr. Muskrat.

I never got around to mentioning that when I was at work on Thursday, Ralph and Jeremy tried to give me my birthday spankings. 24 of them. Hard. They only got ten in before I started pleading with them to stop. I mean, I love the pain, but only so much. So it appears as though my throat isn't quite fully healed. It's still sore and I'm still coughing an assload. Back to the Student Death, er-Health Center. They give me six Zithromax pills (which cost me $50), and cough syrup with codeine in it ($7). On the plus side, I don't have to be taking penicillin anymore.
